Annual Meeting Recap - On
Tuesday 6/23 IHWC President Mike Collette called the
07/08 Indian Hill Winter Club Annual Meeting
to order. A robust crowd of members watched and listened
attentively in the Club Room as Mike presented highlights
of our current fiscal year (ending 6/30/08) and shared
exciting ideas for our club's future. Following are
some of the highlights from the meeting.
* Bev Beck has been promoted to Club Manager from
Interim Club Manager. (Editor's Note: Bev- you've been
doing such a great job, most of us already assumed
you already were the official Club Manager)!
* Diane Holt has returned to the club as Food and
Beverage Manager. Her expertise will be quickly tasted
in improved menus for both the Snowflake Café and
the Club Room.
* We had a great year financially enjoying an operating
surplus of $101,000. We currently stand at full membership
of 450 families.
* New Board Members as of 7/1/08 will be: Kitsa Rhoad,
Jill O'Shea, Steve Innis, and Dan Meyer (President).
*
We will continue to promote the popular and successful
concept of trial programs for our fitness and on-ice
programs and also plan to launch a Fall/Winter Music
series.
At the end of the meeting the new Board President,
Dan Meyer presented Mike Collette with a framed
IHWC jersey signed by all past and present Board
Members
and Staff. This was a tribute to Mike's 7 ½ years
of service to the club and a great finale to the
meeting. For a complete breakout of all revenues and disbursements
for the year, please stop by the front desk and request
a copy from Kevin or Cindy.
USFS Registration. We
enjoyed an awesome 07-08 Skating Season in Learn to
Skate and Figure Skating!
It is
only going to get better at the IHWC! We have some
new and exciting programs for Advanced Learn to Skate
participants as well as our Beginner Figure Skaters!
For now, however, we need to concentrate on registering
with the USFS for the 2008-09 skating season. Click here for more information.
Summer
Sports Conditiong Speed, Agility & Plyometrics
(SAP) is the core and focus of the sports conditioning
program at the Indian Hill Winter Club. This program
is designed for junior high and high school athletes
who want to gain a competitive edge in varsity sports.
This is a great way to get ready for Fall sports. Do
this and you've earned the right to sit around the
pool. Click here for
