Chaperones

One thing that separates the Indian hill Winter Club from most other clubs is the family atmosphere. From the start we were to be a family friendly club. Not a kid's club but a club that felt more like a family winter lodge than a country club. Part of that philosophy is that we all take part in chaperoning our children.

In spite of the stern language of our "Club Rules and Policies" this is actually a lot of fun and you get to know other peoples kids...and can secretely gloat about how much better behaved your kids are.

In our never ending search for ways to ease the work of our wonderful volunteers, we've created color coded cards to help our chaperones.

Chaperones-- There are new sheriffs in town!
To make the chaperones more visible on Friday & Saturday nights, we're changin' things up a bit! Chaperones will be wearing cowboy hats and/or bandanas and name tags to show all who's boss! If you are reporting for chaperone duty, come to the front desk to sign in and get your sheriff's outfit. The IHWC staff and select members of the board will help you get answer any questions for your 'tour of duty'.

Club Rules and Policies - Chaperones

"Each member (one adult member per family) will be required to chaperone or volunteer for one 3 hour time block each season. Members will receive notification by e-mail or phone of their scheduled time. If you cannot attend at the time you have been scheduled, the member is responsible for switching with another member or finding a replacement. The member must notify the Operations Manager when a switch has been made."
